My Weekend Makeup Look!

Hello everyone! Welcome to today's blog post which is the makeup I tend to wear on non- school days, which typically happens to be weekends or school holidays. For this look I do my everyday makeup routine for school, but I add eye shadow, usually a smoky eye, much more heavy eye liner and mascara and a lipstick. However, the base is still the same. (Big thumbs up to me on the intro picture by the way guys, all thanks to picmonkey.com!!)

I hope you enjoy this post and let me know on my social media, which will all be linked at the end of the post, what you thought of it and what you do for your weekend makeup too.

Love you all lots and lots! Xo's Emily.

So this is my mountain of makeup that makes it's way onto my face every single weekend.

So obviously I have cleansed, moisturised and have a face ready to work with by now but I like to scrub my lips and put on a moisturising lip balm before I do my makeup so that my lips can nourish whilst I am putting on my makeup. I recently bought the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Nourishing Lip Balm and I LOVE it! I only use it usually at night just because it cost £22.00 and I don't want to waste it but I would definitely recommend it to anyone with chapped lips!

I then move onto foundation and I have been loving BB creams at the moment and this one from MAYBELLINE is what I have been using recently. The label is really weird on this product and I don't know why, I think it was just printed wrong, ha ha! I then use my body shop lightening touch concealer around any red areas and on blemishes and then my Collection 2000 concealer under my eyes and then on top of any really bad spots that weren't covered by the other concealer, as this one is a lot thicker and covers more. I blended this all in with my real techniques expert face brush.

Then, as I like to use eyeshadow at the weekend, and want it to stay on, I use my French Connection Eyeshadow Primer, which is pretty good. It's got an incredibly thick consistency and it comes out almost solid and you work it into your fingers and then blend onto the eyelid.

Then I like to use my M.A.C Mineralise Skin finish powder to set all of that, including the eye shadow primer. I use this with my big face brush from M.A.C too. This brush is amazing and is literally so so soft... as you can tell from the pictures!

Then, to contour, I use my Body Shop Honey Bronzer and put it underneath my cheekbones and down my neck and my t-zone to sculpt my face out a little and to add some colour where the sun would naturally catch my face and give it a healthy glow. I do all this with my M.A.C contouring brush.

Then I use my M.A.C blush brush to apply my Estee Lauder blusher in the top left shade, which is a beautiful pinky peach colour. This is lovely for everyday use.

Moving onto eyes, I use my French Connection tinted Eye Cream (top left, middle left) as a base and this is a lovely, shimmery shade and this gives me all the brightness my eyes need to make me look awake and fresh. Then I use my N07 eye shadow in the crease (bottom left). I use the darker of the two shades underneath my eyes too, with a small, precise eye brush to create an 'eyeliner - like line'. I use my two M.A.C eye shadow brushes and my French Connection fluffy blending brush in the crease to blend out the darker colour.

Then I use my new French Connection eye liner on the top lash line, and the bottom, and then my French Connection eyelash curlers which give you so much volume it's unreal!

I follow up with my all time favourite mascara, the Maybelline Rocket Volum Express mascara on the top lashes. Then I use my Maybelline Big Eyes mascara in waterproof on my bottom lashes. This mascara has a wand for the top and bottom lashes but I like to use the top lashes wand for my bottom lashes, ha ha! If I want less volume though I will just use the small wand for my bottom lashes.

To finish off, I use my new Maybelline Baby Lips 'Electro' lip balm and this gives great colour whilst nourishing your lips. I tested the colour out on Cole's cheek! (Top right) Ha ha!

And this is the finished look! I hope you liked it. I wore this makeup to go out to town with Cole, as we do most Saturdays and I love this makeup look!

The Pampery 'Bath Goodies' Body Set Review

Hello everyone!
So I got this body set for Christmas from my friend Megan and I used it for the first time the other night and really liked it! So I decided to do a review of it on my blog and tell you all about it!
I am really loving blogging at the moment and I hope you are all enjoying my blog posts too. I made it one of my New Year’s resolutions to put more effort into my blog and my YouTube and I am so impressed with my blog posts so far!
I hope you all enjoy this and let me know what you think of this body set too if you have used it. I will see you all in my next one!
Xo’s Emily.

This is the full set; it came in 3 different boxes, all in size order and all cute patterns and colours. This set has 'Bath Sprinkles', which is the biggest box (pink polka dots box), bath fizzers which is the middle box (blue and white stripy box) and body lotion (orange box).

The bath fizzers were the cutest size I had ever seen! They were really small! In the set there was three of these bath fizzers and so far I have only had the chance to use one but I loved it! It smelled really fresh and made my skin really soft.

These were the bath salts that came in the set and I got a huge pot of them! I would say I only used a 10th of the pot so these are great and also smell really fresh, like the bath fizzers. I just sprinkled them all throughout the bath, and although they do not do anything, they make you feel very calmed and fresh... which is lovely!

The final part of this set was the body lotion, which wasn't my favourite body lotion but I did enjoy using. This body lotion, as you can probably see is very thick, which made it a little difficult to spread evenly on my body. Nevertheless, I did like the smell which was again very fresh but also a little like yoghurt, which was lovely! I can't really describe the smell very well (as I'm not really one for describing smells very well!) but it was calming and great for just before bed and nourishing my skin overnight!

My Top 5 Favourite Drugstore Foundations & Appliers!

Hello everyone!
So I always love reading beauty blogs and makeup reviews and girly things like that so today is a foundation review! My top 5 foundations from drugstores (Boots and Superdrug) and the brushes/sponge I like to apply them with!

Make sure you let me know what you thought of these products if you have also tried them and I hope you enjoy!

See you all in my next one and until then, Xo's Emily.

Now the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is my absolute favourite foundation to wear in the summer as it has sparkles in it. Not very noticeable but enough to make you look 'glowy' and like you have had lots of sleep. I do also have the creamy concealer to go along with it which really eliminates dark circles under your eyes! They're a great combination together and I would recommend them to anyone... But in the summer!!

Now this is my absolute favourite foundation for the autumn/winter time! It is supposed to help your skin and it genuinely does! It really helps with big spots and fills in pores really well. It has a beautiful satin finish on your skin and always looks flawless. It is perfect for everyday use and looks and feels great all year round.

This is my favourite BB cream foundation and has great coverage. I like to wear this to school! It isn't too drying and feels nice and lightweight on the skin. It isn't too much money and has a smooth finish on the skin.

This is a lovely foundation. This colour is a little too dark but I mix it in with the foundation below which is a little too light and it works really well. It smells amazing too!

This foundation is incredibly similar to the MAC Studio Fix Fluid which I do also have and is VERY high coverage. I love it. It stays on for such a long time and is very matte so it doesn't make you look 'sweaty'.

This is my Body Shop Foundation Brush and it puts on foundation and concealer very well. It smooths it out on your face really nicely and washes really well too.

This is my beautiful and trusty Real Techniques Stippling Brush and, as you can see, is also used for blusher too. I like to use this to apply my blusher mainly at the moment because it evenly distributes it and makes it look natural but it also puts foundation on amazingly well. It smooths it into your skin and blends it into your pores very flawlessly! It's a lovely brush and is very affordable.

This is my newest Real Techniques brush and is the Expert Face Brush which is amazing for concealer! It sometimes can make your foundation look a little too full on for me but still does the job. However, it does blend concealer in very well and sticks it onto your skin for the whole day!

This is my Real Techniques Sponge and is amazing! I use this on a daily basis. You just get it wet and ring it out then apply your foundation and concealer and because of the dampness in the sponge it makes your foundation and concealer look flawless but also makes it look much more natural! I would recommend this to everyone that wears foundation and concealer!

What I Got For Christmas 2014!

Hello everyone!
So I just put up a video on my YouTube channel tonight showing you all ‘What I got for Christmas’ and I decided to also do a blog post to go along with this, and to show you all in greater detail the presents I got for Christmas. I will start this blog post off with saying that I am not in any means showing off by showing you all what I got for Christmas this year but this kind of YouTube video and blog post seems to be very popular at this time of year so I thought I would give it a shot and see what you guys thought of it; I also noticed that you all loved my ‘What I Got For My Birthday 2014’ video.

Anyway, rambling over, I got so many presents this year! My family always spoil me way too much and I am so very grateful for each and every one of them. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of my life this year, I love you all so very much.

In this blog post I have only included main presents, I got money and vouchers off lots of other people too so thankyou to everyone who gave me money and vouchers too. It is all saved up in my bank and the vouchers are safely in my purse ready to shop!

I have taken ‘high quality’ (or as high as I can on an iPhone 5s!) pictures to show you in better quality and detail what I got so they are posted just down below and I have written underneath who they are from.

I hope you all enjoy this blog post and I will see you in my next one!
Xo’s Emily.

These were what my Mum, Step Dad Mike, brother and sister got me. These were the main two things: a hat and perfume, and I also got a £40 New Look voucher along with a stocking!

My Dad got me the Miranda Christmas specials on DVD, a Simon's Cat calender because we both find Simon's Cat videos HILARIOUS, The Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 editing software and lots of sweets!

Cole's family (His sister Truly, his Mum and his Dad) got me a new Baby Lips, a bath fizzer and a cat teddy that smells of lavender which you warm up... it smells AMAZING let me tell you!!

Along with lots and lots of stocking presents (all my favourite sweets, chocolate and crisps) Cole got me the Lush 'Blue Skies And Fluffy White Clouds Bubble Bar', which smells AMAZING because obviously I have already used it! He also got me the new deluxe Taylor Swift album '1989' which I have practically listened to every single day; he also got me some beautiful amethyst earrings and matching necklace, which are so gorgeous, and I also have been wearing these most days! The last main thing that he got me was the SacconeJoly's calender. I wanted this for a long time, they are daily vloggers on YouTube and have just brought out a calender and I was so desperate to get my hands on it before they sold out but Cole managed to secretly get it before it did!

My Grandma and Grandad got me lots of little things. They got me a Joules body set, a pack of 'World's Softest Slouch Socks', some blue sequin slippers, a £25 Apple voucher and a notepad.

My Auntie Hannah and Uncle Tom got me the Mac brushes and also a French Connection makeup kit but that is scattered all over the place so I couldn't get a decent picture of it!!

My Uncle Robert, Auntie Sara and their little toddler, Jack, got me two Ben Howard albums, which I love! Robert has got me into Ben Howard and I have never had a full album of his so I am excited to put these onto my iTunes! Ha ha!

My Auntie Annie and Uncle Thom got me this 'USB Recording Microphone' which looks so cool. I am very excited to try some voice and instrument recordings on this and also to do my voiceovers for my YouTube on this too!

My Auntie Angela, Uncle Andrew and two cousins Lucy and Harry (who were all in the Spain vlogs I posted on my YouTube in October) got me some Alice and Eliza candles which smell insanely good and a lush bath bomb.

My friend Megan got me this 'Bath Goodies' set from The Pampery and it includes body lotion, bath fizzers and bath sprinkles. I am very excited to try these as all my friends know I love beauty and body products!

My friend Lauren got me a perfume called 'elegance' which smells so pretty and sweet and girly and is a lovely everyday perfume (TOP LEFT). My friend Daisy (or as a lot of you know her, my Chummy!) and her sister Ruby got me two lush bath bombs, one of which is here and I cannot remember the name of but the 2nd one was featured in one of my Vlogmas episodes, which will be linked down below (TOP RIGHT). My friend Chloe got me these beautiful gold flower earring with a pink middle to them and I love these! (BOTTOM LEFT). And last, but certainly not least, my friend Emily got me a lip balm by Bath House which is their 'Pink Champagne' lip balm and this is so hydrating it's unreal! She also got me the penguin bubble bar from LUSH which I am so excited to try out and have a relaxing evening with.

Taking Down The Christmas Decorations!

Hello Everyone!

So welcome to blog post number 2; I decided that even though I knew my new blog was launching in January that I still had to do some sort of Christmas blog post! I actually took these pictures when we put UP our decorations but I figured I could show you in detail our decorations before we take them DOWN this year.

I took part in vlogmas this year and absolutely loved it. It was incredibly tiring and stressful with so much editing and uploading in December but totally worth it! So I took these photos during vlogmas and if you want to see me and Cole (My Boyfriend for those of you who don't know!) putting the decorations on the tree then go over to my channel and watch my vlogmas video of it! I will put the link down below at the end of the post.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and got to share it with the people you loved!

Xo's Emily.

So this was the finished tree, I think me and Cole did a beautiful job!

This was the top half of the tree (With a cheeky 'Throwback Thursday' picture in the cabinet behind there!!)

 This was our angel.

These were all our 'one-of-a-kind' decorations on the tree. On the top left was a random glass bauble that we have had in our family for a long time. Top middle was a fabric checkered love heart that my Mum has from her own stock (she sells dainty things like this!). Top right was part of a set with bottom middle and they are both little boy and girl Christmas elves and are so very cute! Bottom left we have had for a while also and, even though it doesn't come up on camera as well, is very sparkly and a beautiful rabbit. Finally, bottom right is another angel, but wooden, and very plain and simple- but beautiful.

The rest of the tree, after the more 'statement baubles' I think you would call them, was covered in these baubles. Top left was plain gold, whereas bottom right was sparkly gold; Top right was shiny red wheres bottom left was matte red. We went for a red and gold look on our tree and it looked beautiful!

These were our lights. They were just simple white lights.

Me and my brother, Joseph, both had advent calenders. We did have the usual ones from the supermarket that everyone gets but we also had these, and have done ever since we were little. On the left hand side, Joseph had a Santa Claus calender and on the right I had a girl elf?! (I'm completely guessing with elf, it's a girl anyway!) We both filled the pockets of the calenders with our favourite sweets which I thought was such a cute idea.

Now, in our house, we like to go all out at Christmas so Mum put up these gorgeous door handle decorations. On the left we had a slightly-mauled-by-cats Santa Clause, in the middle a Snowman and on the right another slightly-different Snowman.

We also has this random, but beautiful, wicker heart decoration hanging from our mirror in our living room with little berries (obviously fake) around it.

Obviously we had to get my baby sister Lucy some decorations on her favourite toy in the world! This is her play mat and she loves it as the flower that hangs above her makes noises and plays songs so we thought we would add some lights which she loves to look at and these, I can safely say, are the only decorations that will be staying up through the coarse of the year... or at least until she gets bored! Ha ha!

We also had a mini tree on our windowsill in the lounge, or living room if you like. Mum decorated this with lights and statement decorations. (Sorry for the bad quality picture, forgot to take my flash off!)

These were all the decorations we had on our mini tree and it was held in a little pot covered in pretty Christmas paper and ribbon (bottom left).

We had our fireplace nice and decorated too, which really pulled the living room together and made it all 'Christmassy' and festive.

Around our fireplace we had mine and my brother's stockings, marked E and J. (Top left and bottom right) We also had some holly on top of the fireplace covered with baubles, lights and plastic berries.

We also had a variety of candles around the house, some of which are these. As it was Christmas, we stuck to the usual red theme of candles. We had a Yankee Candle, which smelled AMAZING! If I had to describe the smell I would literally say 'Christmas In A Jar' (Top Left). We also had a big, three wick, candle which we had in the centre of our table for Chritmas dinner (Top right, bottom left). And finally, we had a small red candle, which was strawberry scented, covered around the edge with berries. These candles really made the house festive and smell amazing.

And that was all the decorations we had this Christmas. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!
