My Gooey Chocolate Brownies Recipe!

Hello everyone!

So as you of you might know (if you watch my YouTube channel) I recently vlogged about making brownies and they were amazing! It was my boyfriend and I's anniversary on Sunday 29th March and he loves brownies so I thought I would have a bash at making him some as an extra present - I was going to just give him a galaxy bar as a little extra present but I thought making it into brownies would be something he would like much more. I also then wrapped them up so he didn't suspect it was an edible present!! Ha ha!

So here is my recipe for my gooey brownies, I hope you enjoy it and if you try it make sure to tweet me to @ItsEmilyHereHi with the hashtag #ItsEmilyHereHiBrownies and let me know what you thought of the recipe and send me a cute picture too! Anyways, lets get into the recipe, I love you guys so much!

Xo's Emily.

INGREDIENTS:
375g chocolate of any choice (I chose galaxy), the darker you go with your chocolate the darker your brownies will obviously be.

375g butter, cut into pieces

6 medium eggs

500g caster sugar

225g plain flour

METHOD:
Butter and line a 30cm x 21cm tin. Preheat the oven to fan 160/conventional 180/gas 4. Break up the chocolate with the butter and melt in the microwave on Medium for about 5 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Beat the sugar and eggs in a bowl. Stir in the melted chocolate, add the flour and beat well. Pour into the tin and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top looks papery and feels slightly wobbly. Leave to cool in the tin.

Once cooled, cut into squares or whatever shape you desire your brownies to be and add icing sugar sprinkled on top (optional).

Eat and enjoy! Try warming them up in the microwave and serving up with ice cream!

Throwback Thursday!

Hello everyone!

As you will already have seen by the title, I am doing another Throwback Thursday today!!

I love doing these types of blog posts as it lets my readers/viewers (depending on whether you watch my YouTube, read my blog, both, or none!) know more about my past life before 'internet me'. It also lets me have a peak back into my younger life too and reminisce about my younger self, ha ha!

This picture is of me and my friend Chloe! When we were younger we had countless sleepovers together and always did fun things like face masks, makeovers, eat tons of sweets and goodies and talk about boys and everything else for hours on end! Sleepovers with my friends, especially Chloe, are some of my most fond memories of my childhood; even though I do still have sleepovers with friends, they are a lot less often because of how busy school is now but I am having a sleepover again with Chloe very soon and I'm very excited! Ha ha!

I hope you enjoyed this little 'Throwback' blog post today and if you have some lovely memories of when you were younger and have some 'Throwback Thursday's of your own then make sure to comment them down below or you can tweet me them or tell me on any of my social media (all links at the end of this post).

I love you all lots and I will speak to you in my next one!
Xo's Emily.

My 2 Favourite Smoothie Recipes!

Hello everyone!

So I am actually posting a video on my 2 favourite smoothies on my YouTube channel in a few weeks time but I thought I would do a blog post on it before it comes out (if you're interested, my video is coming out on Sunday 29th March at 8:00 GMT)!

I love smoothies, like I'm sure most people do, but I love making them even more! With smoothies you can get away with throwing in such lovely healthy ingredients that you won't even taste but will get so many healthy benefits out of. And also, you can replace anything in my two smoothie recipes here as smoothies are just so versatile and easy.

So I made two smoothies: one strawberry and pineapple smoothie and one strawberry and pineapple green smoothie. I used the same base of strawberries and pineapple for each smoothie but the 2nd one had lots more hidden benefits in it and tasted just as lovely!

I added oats into my green smoothie as you cannot taste them at all and they keep you going for longer, if you want to have your smoothie as your breakfast, just like porridge or cereal would. They are a good source of energy and make the smoothie much more filling and meal-like.

I also added celery to my green smoothie, usually I would add spinach but we didn't have any, however it doesn't really matter what 'green ingredient' you add in your smoothie, they're all really good for you!

Here are my two current favourite smoothie recipes:
(LEFT- Strawberry and pineapple smoothie)
(RIGHT - Green strawberry and pineapple smoothie)

STRAWBERRY AND PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE:
- Between 6 and 8 strawberries, cut in half to help the blender.
- Half a pineapple, cut into chunks small enough for the blender.
- Between 100 and 150 ml of coconut water, start with 100 ml and add more as needed.
- 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt.
- Blend it all up in your smoothie maker, adding the liquids first to help the blender cut through the fruit and then pour into a glass, or mason jar as I like to use, and serve up with a straw... then... ENJOY!

GREEN STRAWBERRY AND PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE:
- Between 6 and 8 strawberries, cut in half to help the blender.
- Half a pineapple, cut into chunks small enough for the blender.
- Between 100 and 150 ml of coconut water, start with 100 ml and add more as needed.
- 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt.
- 2 or 3 celery sticks, finely diced up. Start with 2 and add another if needed.
- 1 Large handful of regular porridge oats.
- You can add some chia seeds, or flax seeds for an extra energy boost and also honey if you want to sweeten it at all. But otherwise, pour into a glass, or mason jar as I like to use, and serve up with a straw... then... ENJOY!

I hope you guys enjoyed this type of blog post, make sure to let me know if you did and feel free to request any post ideas, or video ideas for my YouTube channel!

Also, if you try out these recipes make sure to tweet me a picture or send me it on Facebook (all links below) and tell me what you thought and tell me any smoothie recipes you like to use so I can try them out too!

I love you all lots, and I will talk to you in my next one!

Obsessed With Photo Shoots! | #TBT

Hello everyone!

So I figured it had been ages since I had done a #throwback Thursday blog post so I decided to do one today.

Me and one of my bestest friends, Emily, who has featured on some of my YouTube videos, used to be obsessed with photo shoots. This picture was the only half-decent picture of me (Emily always looks amazing!) I could find after scouring through my old photos, and I swear there was loads. I'm not sure what pose this was supposed to be - and I was in my pyjamas and at my very short messy hair stage but I didn't care haha - but at the end of the day we thought we looked amazing. And I guess that was all that mattered then anyway, because we had so much fun and laughs doing each other's makeup and hair and using my Dad's camera. Ha ha!

Make sure to let me know in the comments of this blog post what was one of your crazy obsessions when you were younger, and I'll see you in my next one! Love you all lots!

#DearMe!

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my blog! I haven't posted in over a week, oh my gosh... sorry about that! I have been so busy with revision and exams (hence why I haven't uploaded a YouTube video in 2 weeks either)! Anyways, I finally sat down and checked all my social media properly today and I have seen lots of YouTube videos going around that are titled #DearMe. I also got an email from YouTube all about what it is too, which is why I wanted to do a blog post on it, and I will also have a YouTube video on it too tomorrow night, so make sure to check it out, it will be linked at the end of the blog post when it goes LIVE.

The #DearMe video tag is all about giving advice to your younger self, and what YOU now would tell to your younger self! The exact words I recieved on my email were:
In honor of International Women’s Day, YouTube’s inviting you (and everyone you know) to share your fears, inspirations and hard-won wisdom in a video letter to your younger self. It all starts with two words:  #DearMe.

Now, I know, I am only aged 15 however I have been through A LOT, which I am sure a lot of people have but I definitely have a lot of advice that I could give my younger self so I wanted to do this. Make sure to let me know what your advice to your younger self is too either in the comments of this post or on any of my links that will be at the end of this post.

Advice To Younger ME:

1) 4 Year old Emily, don't worry about starting school! You are going to have so much fun and you are going to meet some friends that you will know for life and will become like your family.

2) 7 year old me, don't worry about your best friend moving schools, you will be reunited when you move schools too in a few years time. You can still be friends even if your best friend doesn't go to the same school!

3) 7.5 year old me, don't just accept being told off for someone else's bad behavior! If you know in your heart that you didn't do a bad thing, NEVER take someone else's punishment. SPEAK UP and tell the teachers!!

4) 8 year old me, don't worry about your Parent's divorcing because everything will work it's way out in the end. They still love you so very much but you have to understand that sometimes relationships just do not work out and you have to be grown up about this. Don't worry that you're moving house with your Mum and Brother and not your Dad because you will still see him!

5) 9 year old me, don't worry that your Mum has a boyfriend and your Dad does not yet have a girlfriend, things take time. Your Mum's boyfriend is a lovely man and he will do his best for you!

6) 10 year old me, you will find proper friends very soon, just keep positive! Don't just sit on your own and refuse to speak to people because you're at a new school, talk to people and really make an effort! Don't let your under-confidence get the better of you.

7) 11 year old me, don't ever think you're fat and don't believe what bullies say to you. Words can be very hurtful and can destroy people but only if you let them take over your life.

8) 11, nearly 12, year old me, don't worry about starting grammar school - it will be a blast and you will make such amazing friends!

9) 12 year old me, that boy you think you love, you don't. You don't know the half of what love is and what a real relationship is and goes through, and even NOW you still have lots more experiences in your relationship to go through!!

10) 13 year old me, don't let the bullies hurt you with their words... again! You are so much better than them and you must believe that you are not fat, or ugly, or disgusting or any of the nasty things you have been called. Things will get better and you will eventually realise that the bully was also going through a lot too.

11) 14 year old me, you must learn to NEVER, EVER resort to self harming yourself just because of what people say to you and what people think of you! One day you will realise that you are perfect the way you are and no one can ever tell you different.

12) 14.5 year old me, yes you get very panicky and have minor panic attacks over very little things but one day you will learn to control them and you will learn that it is okay to get panic attacks over silly things like talking to people you haven't talked to before, or people seeing what you decide to buy for lunch.

13) 14.6 year old me, don't worry that you're anxious about having a baby sister very soon because the moment you lay eyes on her you will instantly fall in love with her and will never ever want to let her go!

14) 15 year old me, don't worry and stress about your GCSE's and try to stay calm and relaxed about revision and exams because you will get through it with hard work and with support.

15) Current me, don't worry about growing up; don't worry about not being consistent with YouTube videos because everyone will understand that it's sometimes difficult to consistently upload; don't worry about work experience coming up! You have a lot more experiences to experience yet, and you will fall down. But you will get back up! Always remember that your boyfriend, your family, your friends and your internet followers will always be there for you and will understand what you're going through. We're all human and everyone feels the same emotions as each other at some point! Learn to love yourself.

#DearME, “Forget yesterday - it has already forgotten you. Don't sweat tomorrow - you haven't even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift - today.”
