Hello everyone!
So me and Cole have been staying on holiday in Oban for a few days and we visited a beautiful little shop yesterday of which I couldn't wait to show you all! I did show it, very briefly, on my vlog yeterday (I will link the video at the end of the post) but I decided to make a blog post on this as I got some great pictures of this little hidden gem.
Make sure you go over to Purdies' Facebook page and give it a LIKE and also make sure to tell them that you saw this blog post and liked the shop... I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone! So if you're in Oban at any point in the future, do not hesitate to go and have a look in the shop. It's lovely.
So to start off with, the first things we saw as we entered the shop were these beautiful organic candles; they have so many different candles in the shop it's almost unbelievable how they thought of all the flavours. We smelled a good 25% of the candles but there were so many of them that we couldn't get round them all in the time we had - ha ha! Nonetheless, if you are picky with candles and scents then this is the shop for you... there must be a scent in that shop that suits every single person! The candles were not only beautifully vibrant in colour, but also had sparkles on them and just looked and smelled good enough to eat.

This is the candle that I purchased, or Cole purchased for me (don't worry, her offered!!) and it smells so fresh and like a garden. It is called the 'garden candle' and cost £8.95 - I decided I wanted a fresh candle rather than the more musky and sweet scents I have had throughout autumn and winter as I like more fresh scents in spring and summer. This candle literally smells like you it is summer and you are sitting on a deck chair in a beautiful garden... or at least it does to me! Ha ha!
The next thing that caught our eyes in this magical shop were the gorgeous little signs and 'homey things'. There were some cute little signs, lovely little storage boxes with writing and pictures and mugs and cups and things with writing on too. They were all really sweet.
Purdies also had a range of pictures, which were real statements. They would look just perfect to brighten up a room and make it look homely and lovely... and as you all know, I love my homely decor! They also had some coasters, post cards and just more cute 'round - the - house' objects. They were all really affordable too!
Along with all the home stuff, Purdies also had a large range of beauty products, for the skin. There were some lovely homemade soaps, with (again, like the candles) a large variety of different scents to suit everyone that walks into the shope. These were also very affordable and would work as lovely gifts, especially as they're already wrapped.
As well as soaps, there were hand creams, shampoos & conditioners, hand wash, body wash and lots more products! They were all stacked on these shelves and, as you can see in the pictures, just look lovely and vintage. I tried the hand lotion in 'Scottish Lavender' and it was beautiful! I couldn't stop smelling my hand because I literally smelled like a parma violet.
As you will have seen on my vlog (video blog by the way for any of you who didn't know, which will be at the end of this post!) I purchased a lip balm. I was so shocked at how great the price was that I had to just do a double take!! It was only £2.95. This lip balm was amazingly soft and just as good, if not better, as the LUSH lip balms which are around £7! It is definitely a product I would recommend to anyone with dry lips, which I suffer from all the time. I got the flavour/scent 'Luscious Lime' which smells so fresh and zingy. I LOVE IT!
The shop had some beautiful smelling body washes and bath salts and me and Cole were stood in the corner of the shop smelling them for ages. I bought (or rather, Cole offered to buy me!) some 'Strawberries and Cream' bath salts which I tried out last night, also mentioned in my blog, and made me and the bathroom smell devine!
They had some lovely bath melts, which came in an array of different scents, I chose to get a lavender scented one and if made my skin, and also my hair, baby soft! It only cost around £3.00, I can't remember exactly but it was very affordable. Also, it has lots of uses out of it as you only have to break off a little bit of it to have a creamy soft bath.
Purdies had lots of bath bombs and fizzers from 'Bomb Cosmetics', as well as their own brand. They looked so pretty the way they were laid out and, even though I didn't purchase any of them, I was so tempted just because of how pretty they looked!
These are a few more pictures of just around the shop and you can see here how inviting it looks!
These were the 4 products I bought yesterday; Cole bought two for me and I bought two as well.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and if you're ever here in Oban then go and visit this shop, you will not regret it!
Also, remember I have a new video out tonight on my YouTube, and for anyone that has read this far in the blog you will know that it is a cover of John Ledgend's All Of Me. It will be up at 8pm on my channel. Here is a preview picture of tonight's new video:
ALSO! My vlog from yesterday has gone up at the same time as this blog post so go watch my day in Oban yesterday and have a look inside Purdies!
I love you all lots and lots, and I'll speak to you in my next one!
