What If...!

Hello everyone!

So today I thought I would talk about something most normal human beings think about on a daily basis... the 'what if'. Now, you may be wondering what this is, so I will tell you: every human has hopes and dreams, and has thoughts as to what might have been, what the future holds and 'what if'...

So I decided to tell you 5 of my most frequently thought 'what if's':

1) "What if I was a famous singer and on a massive stage, singing in front of millions of people and having the time of my life!?", that one kind of leads onto another separate 'what if' of "What if I didn't get stage fright and I could perform in front of millions of people?!".

2) "What if I could really make a difference to the world and somehow help everyone that needs it? I could help poor children and families suffering from poverty, I could perhaps contribute to the government in some way to help solve crime rates and have a say in what happens to prisoners and bad people, I could give lots of money to charity, I could do a charity event and raise lots of money for good causes!"

3) "What if one day the world moves onto the internet like in the most recent book I read (Called More Than This by Patrick Ness if any of you are wondering) and the internet gets out of control and the internet takes over the world?!!"

4) "What if I could eat as much bad food as I wanted and never got fat?!"

5) "What if one day I open my emails and see that I have 1 million subscibers!? What if I could make a living out of 'YouTubeing'? What if I could be a famous vlogger like Zoella and the SacconeJolys!?"

So there are some of my most indepth thoughts. Ha ha! Let me know what your 'what if's' are in the comments down below this blog post or on any of my social media, all links at the bottom.

Thankyou for taking the time out of your day to read this blog post, you lovely person reading this! Until next time friends, I love you lots!

I Need YOUR Help!

Hello everyone!

So I am sure you were intrigued to come back to my blog today because of my brilliant title... ha ha! Although, I really do need your guys' help.

See, I would love to do lots more music videos on my YouTube channel, but I just have no inspiration! What song should I do a cover of? What should I write about in my own lyrics? What instrument should I use? Should I make a video of it, or save it for myself? Would everyone on the internet like it or hate it? These are the questions I ask myself daily, and I do think about it daily - music is one of my deepest passions and I want to be able to do more of it but I want inspirations!

So, I thought, as I have such amazing, supportive subscribers and followers, that I should ask YOU all what I should do?

Please help me out as I am stuck!! Either comment down below in the blog comments, find me on Facebook, Twitter, comment on a YouTube video or email me (all the links to where you can contact me will be at the bottom of the blog post, as usual). I would really appreciate your guys' input on this subject. So feel free to ask me anything, give me any advice or request any music video covers that you'd like to see!

Thankyou everyone, as usual I love you lots! Xo's Emily.

A Mix Of Emotions!

Hello everyone!

So I put up a Facebook post and a Tweet earlier to let you all know that I will not be uploading a video tonight. I have been on holiday for the past 5 days, as most of you will know, and I planned my video out to film, edit and upload for tonight but it just went all wrong. This morning I sat down and filmed my 'Taylor Swift inspired makeup look' but my editing software went really slow and corrupted some of the files and I have bad internet for uploading today for some reason - it just varies. So I am deeply sorry for not uploading tonight.

I know that most of you fully 100% support me when I say that I am not uploading for whatever reasons, but I put a lot of pressure on myself to be on time and organised with my YouTube and blog. I know I shouldn't, but I do. So I promise I will have a good video ready for next week's video!

So what I mainly wanted to talk about on today's blog post was the mix of emotions I have been feeling lately, I think just as most teenagers do. And my blog seemed to get a lot of views the  last time when I just sat down and wrote my feelings so that's what I felt like doing today.

Now I always promised myself that I would be 100% honest on my YouTube and blog, otherwise I feel like I come across as fake. And misunderstood. And I don't want to be misunderstood - so I want to just let you all see a little insight into the 'behind - the - scenes' of my YouTube and blog.

I have, since I was around 7 or 8, struggled with just feeling happy. I don't usually let this come across on my videos but sometimes it's hard, as some of you might have seen in my vlogmas series I did in December 2014. It mainly started when my parents divorced and I moved schools and I remember I just used to sit on my own on a bench and ignore everyone. I remember feeling so lonely and I would cry on a daily basis about just going into school, knowing I had no friends. I hated it and I always resented my parents for the way I felt. When I was 9 I did start to make friends. But I always felt unhappy behind it all, and I do still feel like that sometimes, just unhappy for no apparent reason. Now, you might ask why I am telling you all this? Well, I know that if I feel it, then many others must too as we are all human and a human being only experience up to 7 or 8 emotions in their lifetime, apparently, some more than others. Now, when you put it like that, it makes you feel a lot less lonely and sad. And YouTube and blogger has been something that has really helped me realise this and connect with people that I might never have known if not.

I am not saying, for one second, that I am always unhappy, I am depressed etc. Because that is not the case. I have an amazing relationship of nearly 1 year, I have a loving family, fantastic friends but everyone feels down sometimes. I get very stressed out and sad about the smallest things in life. I'll give you one example:
I took music as an option for my GCSE's. This means I cannot get out of it for another 2 years as it was my choice and I will be tested and graded on it when I turn 16. I hate music. Music lessons. I have always loved listening to music, playing music, writing music, but I have found that learning about the theory of music and being tested on how well I write songs is not for me. This makes me constantly worried and stressed. And I can't do anything about it.
I don't really know why I am telling you all how I hate my music lessons but I do and I want to be honest. I want this blog to be a real version of me, not an edited version to suit the internet.

I have tried councelling for depression and for general stress and had never felt it had helped. What genuinely helps me to stay focused and happy is my blog and my YouTube because it is something that gives me a purpose and makes me stand out from everyone else, obviously along with family and friends etc. So that's what I want to focus on. It makes me feel special and gives me something to look forward to focus on for the future.

So please know that if you ever feel down that I feel it too and many others will feel it at some point in their life. Please feel free to comment down below or email me on my inquiries email: askitsemilyherehi@gmail.com

I hope you all didn't mind me having a little almost rant on my blog but it helps me to just write it all down.

Make sure to let me know what you would like me to talk about on my blog and YouTube and also if you have any topics you would like me to have an input in then you can email my inquiries email too, just make sure to let me know whether you want it to be private or publicly talked about about my blog.

I love you all lots and I will speak to you in my next one!

My Candle Collection (Top 8 Recent Favourites)

Hello everyone!

So today I thought I would show you my candle collection so far; I have only included my candles I have been using in the past few months, as I have so many, so I will probably do an updated one of these every 4-5 months or so.

I have included my top 8 candles in this post, just to narrow it down and also so it isn't a long and boring post. Okay, now I am going to shut up and get on with the post... ha ha!

So these are my 'ALICE & ELIZA' candles from my beautiful cousin, Lucy. I have three scents of these candles and they smell absolutely beautiful - they are rather spicy smelling so I will be putting these away soon and swapping them for more fresh scents going into the spring and summer, but for autumn and winter these candles are beautiful!

This candle looks a little old and battered, probably because it is, but is amazing. I believe this is from IKEA (that was what my Mum said anyway!!) and it is strawberry scented - so it is perfect for all year round and always gives out a fresh scent. I do also have the vanilla scented candle to go alongside this as they smell delightful together but I didn't manage to get a picture of it for some reason. These IKEA candles are very affordable, last for a long time and also have great scents for the price.

This candle is from Sainsbury's. It is apple blossom and lotus and smells so fresh and beautiful. I have completely used this out now, as you can see, but I will definitely be purchasing this again and again as it is an affordable, beautiful smelling, long lasting candle. Give the Sainsbury's candle collection a go if you want some affordable candles as they are only around £4.00 each.

This isn't a 'candle' candle. It is technically tealight in a candle holder but nonetheless I love this candle. It has a rustic look to it and this makes the candle look so pretty when the light shines through it! This actually came in a set of two and was only around £5.00.

This is my 'special candle'. My Dad got me this candle and it says 'EMILY'. It needs a good clean but when you switch the lighrs off the light looks beautiful shining through it!

Again, I LOVE this candle. I actually hang this over the railing we have above our bath (as we have a shower-bath, if that makes sense) and when the lights are all dimmed and you're sat in the bath this looks absolutely beautiful hanging above you. I LOVE this. This also comes in a set of two and was around £8 I think.

And, obviously, I have my tealights which I burn all the time, whether they're in my candle holders or just on their own on the side when I have a nice relaxing bath. These are really affordable and you get 30 for £1. However, if you get the chance to go to IKEA get them from there as you get a lot more for your money and they are also vanilla scented... we just have not managed to have a trip out to IKEA yet. Ha ha!

So I hope you enjoyed looking at my candle collection - make sure to let me know in the comments below what candles you have been loving so I can try them out too!

I love you all lots, and I'll speak to you all soon!

Purdies Of Argyll!

Hello everyone!

So me and Cole have been staying on holiday in Oban for a few days and we visited a beautiful little shop yesterday of which I couldn't wait to show you all! I did show it, very briefly, on my vlog yeterday (I will link the video at the end of the post) but I decided to make a blog post on this as I got some great pictures of this little hidden gem.

Make sure you go over to Purdies' Facebook page and give it a LIKE and also make sure to tell them that you saw this blog post and liked the shop... I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone! So if you're in Oban at any point in the future, do not hesitate to go and have a look in the shop. It's lovely.

So to start off with, the first things we saw as we entered the shop were these beautiful organic candles; they have so many different candles in the shop it's almost unbelievable how they thought of all the flavours. We smelled a good 25% of the candles but there were so many of them that we couldn't get round them all in the time we had - ha ha! Nonetheless, if you are picky with candles and scents then this is the shop for you... there must be a scent in that shop that suits every single person! The candles were not only beautifully vibrant in colour, but also had sparkles on them and just looked and smelled good enough to eat.

This is the candle that I purchased, or Cole purchased for me (don't worry, her offered!!) and it smells so fresh and like a garden. It is called the 'garden candle' and cost £8.95 - I decided I wanted a fresh candle rather than the more musky and sweet scents I have had throughout autumn and winter as I like more fresh scents in spring and summer. This candle literally smells like you it is summer and you are sitting on a deck chair in a beautiful garden... or at least it does to me! Ha ha!

The next thing that caught our eyes in this magical shop were the gorgeous little signs and 'homey things'. There were some cute little signs, lovely little storage boxes with writing and pictures and mugs and cups and things with writing on too. They were all really sweet.

Purdies also had a range of pictures, which were real statements. They would look just perfect to brighten up a room and make it look homely and lovely... and as you all know, I love my homely decor! They also had some coasters, post cards and just more cute 'round - the - house' objects. They were all really affordable too!

Along with all the home stuff, Purdies also had a large range of beauty products, for the skin. There were some lovely homemade soaps, with (again, like the candles) a large variety of different scents to suit everyone that walks into the shope. These were also very affordable and would work as lovely gifts, especially as they're already wrapped.

As well as soaps, there were hand creams, shampoos & conditioners, hand wash, body wash and lots more products! They were all stacked on these shelves and, as you can see in the pictures, just look lovely and vintage. I tried the hand lotion in 'Scottish Lavender' and it was beautiful! I couldn't stop smelling my hand because I literally smelled like a parma violet.

As you will have seen on my vlog (video blog by the way for any of you who didn't know, which will be at the end of this post!) I purchased a lip balm. I was so shocked at how great the price was that I had to just do a double take!! It was only £2.95. This lip balm was amazingly soft and just as good, if not better, as the LUSH lip balms which are around £7! It is definitely a product I would recommend to anyone with dry lips, which I suffer from all the time. I got the flavour/scent 'Luscious Lime' which smells so fresh and zingy. I LOVE IT!

The shop had some beautiful smelling body washes and bath salts and me and Cole were stood in the corner of the shop smelling them for ages. I bought (or rather, Cole offered to buy me!) some 'Strawberries and Cream' bath salts which I tried out last night, also mentioned in my blog, and made me and the bathroom smell devine!

They had some lovely bath melts, which came in an array of different scents, I chose to get a lavender scented one and if made my skin, and also my hair, baby soft! It only cost around £3.00, I can't remember exactly but it was very affordable. Also, it has lots of uses out of it as you only have to break off a little bit of it to have a creamy soft bath.

Purdies had lots of bath bombs and fizzers from 'Bomb Cosmetics', as well as their own brand. They looked so pretty the way they were laid out and, even though I didn't purchase any of them, I was so tempted just because of how pretty they looked!

These are a few more pictures of just around the shop and you can see here how inviting it looks!

These were the 4 products I bought yesterday; Cole bought two for me and I bought two as well.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and if you're ever here in Oban then go and visit this shop, you will not regret it!

Also, remember I have a new video out tonight on my YouTube, and for anyone that has read this far in the blog you will know that it is a cover of John Ledgend's All Of Me. It will be up at 8pm on my channel. Here is a preview picture of tonight's new video:

ALSO! My vlog from yesterday has gone up at the same time as this blog post so go watch my day in Oban yesterday and have a look inside Purdies!

I love you all lots and lots, and I'll speak to you in  my next one!

From My Vlog To My Blog! - Holiday Pictures

Hello everyone!

So as you will notice, if you have been watching my vlogs on YouTube, I am on holiday right now. I am with Cole (my Boyfriend for those of you who didn’t know) and his family in Oban; we stayed in Glasgow last night with some family friends and are now in Oban and having a wonderful time! I will probably have at least one more, if not another, blog post with more pictures in the next day or so but for now here are some pictures that we took tonight down on the sea front. Now, I know that it was in the dark, however the sea front looked so much prettier at night time when the lights were all dancing off the water and making the town sparkle (also, it was a dark and gloomy day today so the darkness, along with the sparkly lights, made it look just magical… and beautiful to walk down at night)!

As you will know, if you watched my vlog to go alongside this post I said: if you came here from my vlog, comment down below that you “Came to my blog from my vlog”! … So make sure to tell me if you did as I am interested to see how that went, ha ha!
I hope you enjoy the pictures, I will have more up in the next few days of different little things we find around the town. But, until then I love you all lots and I’ll speak to you all soon!

Xo’s Emily.

My vlog will be up at 8pm UK time tonight, it will be linked here as soon as it goes up!:-)

Throwback Thursday!

Hello everyone!

So I know that 'Throwback Thursday' or #tbt is a really popular trend among bloggers over the internet so I decided to do one for today's blog post. So, as you will see in this blog post, I did not care about my hair, makeup or anything like that when I was younger - in a way that kind of made me happier and less insecure. But I suppose all small children are 'un- insecure'.

The first picture is of me and my brother, Joseph, on our family holiday when we were younger. I am not 100 percent sure of how old I was in this picture but I'm going to guess and say I think I was around 6 and my brother was around 4 years old. We used to go to the same place in Portugal on our family holidays however, I have never been back since my parents got divorced, around 6-7 years ago.

The second picture you will see is a 7 year old me (that's a rough guess) and my Mum and Dad took me and my brother to York for a holiday and I remember I had taken pictures of my parents and they had drink-drinks so my Mum let me hold her drink for a picture, I promise I never drank any!!!

And finally, the third picture you will see is a 5 or 6 year old me, I went to the Botanical gardens with my Mum and my Uncle's ex girlfriend and I love this picture because it reminds me of an amazing day... and seriously I had the most curly hair when I was younger!

I hope you enjoy this blog post, let me know in the comments of this post if you did and I will definitely do a #ThrowbackThursday blogpost each week for you all.

I love you all lots! Xo's Emily.

Girl Online!

Hello everyone!

So I know I haven't blogged for a while, but I have been so busy with revision and school work etc. I think some people underestimate the amount of time and effort being a YouTuber and blogger is.

Not to rant on, but I do a lot of work. The whole 'YouTube' process is so difficult sometimes and can really get on top of me to be honest- the filming process takes a while: I have to plan the video, set up filming (with the correct lighting) and then film and put everything away, this can take at least 2-3 hours!!! Then I will edit the night after usually which takes at least 2 hours for each video, depending on special effects I add and depending on what type of video it is really. Now, you would think I was done there but NOOO! After that, I have to 'render' the video; now this means that I have to export it into video form, not editing form. This can take a good 1-2 hours to just SAVE it! And then it has to be uploaded to YouTube, it takes (at the moment) around 12 - 16 hours to upload my videos onto YouTube which, I know, is ridiculous but that's what my week consists of each night. So I am so sorry that I haven't been consistent with my blog but I have been busy. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know how my life has been going recently, now onto the actually blog post...

So, I recently read Zoella (AKA Zoe Sugg)'s novel Girl Online and I LOVED it! Now, I know, there has been a lot of speculations on this book revolving around who actually wrote this but to be honest, I don't care if Zoe wrote all of it or one page of it: this book was fantastic! To start with, I read it in 5 days because I was so intrigued by the story line, It was the perfect teenage girl book. I would recommend this to any teenage girl because it was so relatable and just plain adorable. The story in itself was so different from anything I had ever read before, and I have read a lot of books. I love books. I loved the unique story line and I adored the characters! They were so lovely and are just people you would want to know and be in your life (trust me, if you've read this book, you will know exactly what I mean).

One of the main reasons why I loved this book and found it so relatable was the mentioning of panic attacks that Zoe included in the book. I personally have never suffered with really horrendous panic attacks like the main character, Penny, did, or like Zoella actually does. However, I have experienced very minor panic attacks before and I cannot even begin to tell you how stressful and horrible they really are. I think, for me, this is why I strongly believe that Zoe wrote a lot of (if not all) of the book herself because of the way these panic attacks were so vividly written. They could only be written by someone who'm has actually felt these feelings. I feel a lot closer, if that makes sense, to Zoe now because of the way she opened up these true feelings in the book, and also on a few videos she has made in the past. This aspect of the book made it quite unique and, I think, great for teenagers as panic attacks usually begin occurring (if they do) whilst in your teen years. This makes it great for teens, I think.

Another aspect (obviously, because of the title!) of the book is that Penny, the main character, is a blogger, hence 'Girl Online'. She has a secret blog where she talks about everything in her life, basically as her personal diary. Not to give away any spoilers, her identity gets discovered... SOMEHOW (read the book if you want to know how)! But her blog posts were really relatable to me and reading this book made me almost desperate to blog again. Desperate. So I am going to try and do more blog posts where I just sit down and write my thoughts and feelings to you guys, let me know in the comments of this blog post what you would think about that!?

Overall, this book was an amazing read and I would recommend everyone that has read this post to read it and tell me in the comments below what you thought of it. And now, in true Girl Online style I am going to end my blog.

I love you all lots, thankyou for all the amazing support you have all been giving me, especially recently!

Girl online, going offline xxx
